Quentin Parmeland, Country Manager of Apiwork België, tells us about the origin of his interest in real estate, his move to Belgium and his daily life in a new market.

We asked him a number of questions to better understand how the Apimo™ software joined the Belgian market.

Could you introduce yourself in a few words ?

My name is Quentin PARMELAND and I am the current Country Manager of Apiwork België. Coming from a family involved in real estate, it's only natural that I also took this path at a very young age, first as a salesman and then as an agency manager.

I then joined Apiwork at the beginning of 2018 as customer service manager. At the end of 2019, my desire for a new challenge enabled me to move to Belgium to take part in the creation of the company here.

What are the challenges of the market in belgium ?

Belgium is divided into 3 regions. The main characteristic to be taken into account here is the difference between Wallonia and Flanders, this separation is not only linguistic, it is also economic and cultural. The real estate portals used, the means of communication and the expectations of agents in terms of software differ greatly from one to the other.

The Brussels region is very international and resolutely modern, and therefore requires media and technologies that are in line with this.

How to distinguish Apimo on the Belgian real estate software market ?

The Belgian market has a lot of software dedicated to real estate, but there is a clear leader for each region. Several software packages are also not updated regularly enough and have difficulty keeping up with market developments and ever more advanced technological demands. This is one of the points that allows Apimo to seduce agencies here, the software is constantly updated with the latest technical features, as well as with partnerships to simplify the real estate agent's daily life.

Belgium's central position within Europe has made the automatic adaptation of the language according to the user an essential feature of our software. Its user-friendliness, its responsive buyer and owner extranet and an advanced matching system also make Apimo stand out from other software on the market.

What do your missions look like on a daily basis ?

My day-to-day work revolves around several main areas...

• The administrative management of the company

• The implementation of training courses on the software for the benefit of our customers in the Benelux area

• Technical maintenance of the software and our data flows to the various portals and partners

• Recruitment, management and training of our sales team in collaboration with the CEO of Apiwork België Mr GOHM

My technical background within the company's customer service department and my experience in real estate also allow me to play an advisory role for our clients, whom we try to support in the best possible way.

Who were your first clients ?

We had already developed the software for the Belgian market for certain groups of agencies that we were equipping internationally such as Swixim and Barnes, so these agencies were our first clients on Belgian soil.

Once the company was finalised and the offices installed we were able to start picking up our first clients such as Pearl Immo, Le Lion or City Global.
